AAR @TheRoxy
So let me just say that I am completly blown away by last night. probably the best show I have ever been to.
I got there just after 4:30 and I met up with Jessica. She informed me that I had missed the Rejects just by a few seconds….. bummer. But then Conley walked by and he was with his baby and oh dear that boys a cutie. Conley later on kept pacing back and forth in front of the venue and I wanted to talk to him but he was always on the phone or talking to someone else. Later (still in line) Johnny fron Uh Oh! Explosion! showed up and was trying to get people to buy a CD and I kinda spazzed on him and he gave me like a thousand hugs for knowing who he was….. tbh i didn’t recognize him at first. He walk up and he was like “Hey. I’m John and I’m in a band called Uh……” And I was like “Oh shit, I love you! You’re the Original Mack” and then he gave me like a huge hug. And I talked to him a bit and he kept giving me more hugs. Then he left to try and get people to buy his CD. So later on Jessica got in the the M&G line and waited and waited (it was suppose to start at 7). And we also waited for Sarah…….. she ended up coming at about 7:30 and luckily the m&g hadn’t gone in yet. I gave her my cake to give the boys. So we were in two separate lines but they were right across from me as we waited….. and I talked to the girl next to me in the normal people line :P We ended up going in at the same time which was 8. Once inside we were separated, but I saw Payton & Lisa so I went to go say hi to them. Then I found Jessica & Sarah again and we stood right in the center front. Then they were called in to do the M&G and they gave the boys the Dr.Pepper cake I made for them (it was kind of awesome it had the AAR logo written on it with chocolate chips). Like 2 sec later Conley came out and asked if anyone else was still out here for the M&G and these 2 girls were like oh us! Conley got pissed and was telling to them to hurry up because they’re lagging. After they passed he stopped and looked at me and said “I hate those people, they’ve been giving me problems all day!” And then he stormed off angrily. Then the M&G people came bock out and I lost Jessica & Sarah so I was by myself pretty much except for the girl who I was talking to in line outside. Matt Skiba opened and let me just say that this man is amazing. I think I love him…. I really do. I was blown away. Not many people payed attention to him and I felt terrible because there was so much talent and they weren’t paying attention. Oh and the people behind me I wanted to slug. Earlier they were complaining about AAR like “omg….. I can’t believe they can only sell out 1 show and not 2. There last album tanked anyways and I’m so over Move Along.” And when Matt was playing they said “Is he done yet?” I wanted to turn around and punch them in the face. After Matt played it was like 10 min and the curtain rose again and everyone was like wooooh! But it was only the guy from the radio station telling us the Rejects would be on soon. Pointless much? After another 10 min they came on and everyone cheered. There were many bromance Nyson moments and they were all lovely. I was pretty much up front and in the center (there were like 2 people in front of me and then the stage) so I had a lovely view of Tyson because he was like right there. But I couldn’t see Chris at all :( I could see everyone else and Mike was hard to see most of the time. During one of the songs Tyson tried to hold my hand and he did for a split second but everyone rushed and tried to grab his hand so he pulled back. I still see that moment in slow motion. haha. Later on Ty tried to crowed surf and he kind of landed on me and everyone, again, was pushing and trying to grab him and i was kind of a sandwiched under his sweaty shoulders and I was swinging around and couldn’t stand properly with him on top of me. Oh and they played ‘I’m Waiting’ which made me super happy because its one of my favorites. What else happened? Nick threw a half empty water bottle into the crowd and the water went everywhere and then the empty bottle hit me in the head and the person behind me grabbed it. I was also elbowed many times throughout the show (once in the eye) and I had my hair pulled like twice. I even thought I was going to pass out at some point because I hadn’t ate since Sunday morning. When I went outside my dad was waiting across the street for me and my knees hurt so bad when I was walking. When I got in the car he asked me how it was and I realized I had lost my voice. -.- Then we stopped and I got myself Arizona Iced Tea because I needed sugar ASAP. I got home at around midnight and passed out right away. And then I had to be up a 6 for school and I was very unhappy but last night rocked! I wish you guys were there!
